Every building has completely different needs, these needs align with the culture of the company and the overall way of "using" the facility. Some companies are very conscious of the impact to the environment and so they want cleaning practices that are in tandem with their way of being in the workplace. At Gamma we have created and stay open to working under the guidelines you decide to align with your philosophy and company culture. What do I mean by that? Well we have cleaned for clients that wanted to save money and at the same time wanted to involve their team in the care of the building so we created a scope that allowed for that, in this case "Centralized Trash" was what they wanted. As a cleaning team we came at night prepared to dust and vacuum thoroughly the entire building because we did not have to gather trash desk by desk. Every single employee in this facility was in charge of bringing their own trash bag to the centralized big trash can sitting in the middle of the building before they went home for the day, they had a roll of liners in their trash cans and so they could replace the liner themselves as well. As an added measure this client requested that all their employees use the breakroom to eat and so there was no food in their personal trash cans, this helped avoid smells in the office area. In the break room there were more than one trash can, we had plastic recycle, glass recycle, compost and trash. It was very surprising to see how little trash we took out of the building at the end of the night! 

So you see, as this drastic solution was created for one client, we can create whatever solution you need. Now if all you need is regular cleaning we can do that as well.

But what is regular cleaning? Well it depends on the level of service you need, we can do a very detailed cleaning nightly which means we will be doing more detail and therefore it will end up costing more. For example we can dry dust four times per week and on Friday everyone leaves their desk free of paperwork for us to clean the entire surface. If you want more detail we can clean the entire surface nightly and that would increase the cost. I have found that even if this level of detail was requested, most everyone leaves lots of paper on their desk so performing detail clean of every desk nightly is not really something I recommend paying for since we cannot move anything from horizontal surfaces.

Q+A

How about all the details that need to be done periodically like high dusting, low dusting, cleaning ceiling vents, doors inside and out, wall spots, etc? Well those go on a rotational schedule with a clear frequency and then we move those to the night cleaning schedule so they get done and logged for future reference.

What about vacuuming? We can vacuum common areas and traffic patterns nightly and detail vacuum once per week. Or we can vacuum everything every night, it really depends on what you want and need.

What is detail vacuuming? Well same with desktop cleaning kind of... Some people have "things" accumulated under their desk, we have found anything from jogging shoes to snack bags to slippers. So detail vacuuming is vacuuming under all desks, we ask that things are moved if at all possible, when we vacuum in detail we also go behind doors, we move chairs and things left on the floor such as gym bags, light items such as boxes, packages, etc.
