More Than Clean — Safe, Secure, and Confidential

Wow, janitorial cleaning is such a responsibility for the cleaners, we get to be in your facility when nobody else is there, so it is up to us to make sure your facility is secured and to report to you any and all issues that are occurring while we are on site. For example, if there is a leak in the breakroom sink, we report it to you right away because we know if we don’t by the time someone else comes into the building carpets may be ruined or floor boards designed to protect the edge of the wall may no longer be protected!

Another reason why choosing Gamma to be your cleaning company is because we have a dispatch department that is in charge of calling the contact you provided for us in your facility if we notice suspicious activity… Such as someone driving around the building waiting for us to leave or someone asking to be let in to the facility, we call you immediately to alert you and ask if this person is even allowed in.

As far as perimeter doors and all access points to the building we make sure everything is locked at 6pm at the latest to ensure our safety and that of your building, so we stay alert the entire time we are cleaning. If we find a package at the front door we ask you if we need to bring it in or just leave it be. We turn off all lights and even check that small heaters are not left on… some workers bring small heaters from home and use them under their desk, more often than not they forget to turn them off and this is a possible fire hazard, so it is our standard procedure that we turn those off and disconnect them as well.

Another safety issue that we are alert for is reporting to you all doors or alarm panels that are malfunctioning or we are not able to secure or operate, we report this before leaving just to make sure we do not leave your facility vulnerable to theft or trespassing.

In the winter when the days are shorter we try to gather all trash before 7pm and take it out to make sure we have enough daylight to make it back safely into the building as well as policing the perimeter for safety issues.

On many occasions we have been alerted by our clients about disgruntled or dismissed employees that may want to gain access to the building after hours, especially if we got to interact with them after hours. At Gamma our teams are trained to follow safety procedures like this and not to let anyone in who is not in possession of their own badge or hard key without your authorization, so even if we know them we will not let them in without calling you. 

Your business has areas that should not be open even at night such as Human Resources area, CEO suite, President’s office given that many employees and sensitive information is in these areas so it is our procedure to open, close the door, clean the area and leave it locked when finished. All other areas will be open at the beginning of the shift for trash run and then dust and vacuum before securing them at the end of the night, but these sensitive areas are treated differently because of the nature of the sensitive information in them. So we usually affix a red dot at the bottom of the door frame to make sure we know what areas these are.
